Nuclear Medicine Technology Program Learning Outcomes

The Nuclear Medicine Technology Bachelor of Science Program at Indiana University School of Medicine prepares students to function as competent Nuclear Medicine Technologists. After completing the program’s curriculum, graduates are able to acquire, comprehend, apply and evaluate patient information sufficiently well to offer appropriate patient care. Graduates have proficiency in the technical and administrative functions necessary to fulfill the role as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

The program also focuses on preparing Nuclear Medicine Technology students to learn and grow professionally throughout their careers. Specifically, graduates are expected to demonstrate:

  • Appropriate ethical and interpersonal working relationships with patients, physicians and colleagues
  • Active participation in continuing education and professional activities
  • Pursuit of professional growth in areas of advanced technical positions, administration, teaching, health care industry or higher educational degree levels
