Radiography Associate of Science Program Effectiveness Data
Publication of annual program effectiveness data is a condition of continued accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The data required includes five-year average credentialing examination pass rate, five-year average job placement rate, and annual program completion rate.
This data represents the Indiana University School of Medicine Associate of Science (AS) Radiography program effectiveness during the period of June 2016 through May 2017.
The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification Examination in Radiography Pass Rate among graduates of the IU School of Medicine Associate of Science (AS) Radiography program from 2013 through 2017 is 94.3 percent. That is, 164 of 174 program graduates passed the ARRT Certification Examination in Radiography on the first attempt.
The JRCERT standard for this effectiveness measure is 75 percent pass rate on the first attempt, within six months of graduation.
The job placement rate for graduates of the IU School of Medicine Associate of Science (AS) Radiography program (2013 through 2017) is 96.5 percent. That means 110 of 114 of students graduating in the past five years and actively seeking employment were employed within 12 months of graduation.
Not counted are graduates who are continuing their education, those not actively seeking employment, and those not responding to the survey. The JRCERT standard for job placement rate is a five-year average of 75 percent within 12 months of graduation.
This program has an annual program completion rate 94.6 percent. Of 37 students in the cohort, 35 graduated in May 2017.
