Radiography Program Effectiveness Data

Publication of annual program effectiveness data is a condition of continued accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The data required includes five-year average credentialing examination pass rate, five-year average job placement rate, and annual program completion rate.

Credentialing Examination

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification Examination in Radiography Pass Rate among graduates of the IU School of Medicine Associate of Science (AS) Radiography program from 2017 through 2021 is 97.6 percent. That is, 164 of 168 program graduates passed the ARRT Certification Examination in Radiography on the first attempt.

The JRCERT standard for this effectiveness measure is 75 percent pass rate on the first attempt, within six months of graduation.

Job Placement

The job placement rate for graduates of the IU School of Medicine Associate of Science (AS) Radiography program (2017 through 2021) is 100 percent. This means that all students graduating in the last five years were employed within 12 months of graduation.

Not counted are graduates who are continuing their education, those not actively seeking employment, and those not responding to the survey. The JRCERT standard for job placement rate is a five-year average of 75 percent within 12 months of graduation.

Program Completion

This program has an annual program completion rate of 100 percent. Of 33 students in the cohort, 33 graduated in May 2021.
