The MD Urology Clerkship is an extension of clinical experience in urology that goes beyond the core clerkship level to include patient diagnosis and care. This program at IU School of Medicine provides a broad exposure to the surgical and medical management of urologic diseases and puts heavy emphasis on urologic cancer, laparoscopy and reconstruction. Participants are exposed to cases at IU Health Riley Hospital for Children in addition to the adult hospitals near the IU School of Medicine campus in Indianapolis. Visiting MD students may also rotate one-on-one with the faculty through clinic. Eight full-time positions are available for this clinical program, which is open to fourth-year medical students.
