Message from the Director of Fellowship Programs

Welcome to the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences fellowship programs at IU School of Medicine. We are proud to offer 13 fellowship programs that provide high quality education and clinical training for graduates of diagnostic radiology residency programs.

As a referral center for the entire state of Indiana and the largest medical enterprise within the state, our fellows are exposed to a wide breadth of imaging and pathology. This, combined with a vast array of leading edge technology, world renowned radiologists and referring physicians, interdepartmental/ multidisciplinary conferences and collegial work environment allow radiology and imaging sciences fellows to mature in their clinical skillset while their transition to autonomous subspecialties is facilitated.

In keeping with the tradition of excellence in education at IU School of Medicine and the department’s dedication to research and nationally-recognized education programs, a second year of fellowship training may be tailored to individual needs.

Our fellowship training programs build on the knowledge acquired during residency and prepare fellows to be experts in their specialized area. At the completion of training, fellows are ready for independent practice in either academic or private practice settings. We invite you to submit your application and look forward to your potential future with us in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at IU School of Medicine.
