Bio

Thus far my career has been divided between the clinical care of individuals with all stages of psychotic illness, the development of novel therapeutics for psychotic spectrum disorders, and the education of psychiatry residents and medical students.

I am currently an investigator on a variety of clinical trials investigating the pathophysiology and treatment of schizophrenia, with a focus on identifying the neural substrates of cognitive dysfunction.  I have also developed an interest in examining inflammation as a key driver of psychosis development as well as the application of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for the treatment of schizophrenia.  I enjoy my role as co-associate training director for our general psychiatry residency as well as my focus on neuroscience education as part of our residency training experience.
