Bio

My work at Indiana University has given me the privilege of providing services to patients with psychiatric needs in a number of capacities. My primary focus is the care of patients with severe and persistent mental illness through community based programs developed to promote care optimization using a multidisciplinary team approach. I have found the team model to also be applicable in the primary care setting as integrated psychiatric care efforts evolve to best meet patient needs.  I strive to improve community based programs to more effectively and efficiently meet patient needs and promote wellness through patient-centered psychiatric care in the context of the individual’s overall medical treatment. My teaching and research interests focus on furthering our understanding and treatment of chronic mental illness.
