Message from the Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

For over fifty years, this fellowship program has been proud to graduate experts in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. We prepare our trainees to pursue their aspirations with an array of opportunities at one of the nation’s top-ranked children’s hospitals and at one of the largest academic health centers in the country.

In the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program, fellows have the opportunity to work in diverse clinical settings throughout their training and are encouraged to dive in head-first and pursue opportunities that cultivate their unique interests. Expert faculty are dedicated to mentoring fellows in clinical and research areas while providing ethical and compassionate care of children and their families. Graduates leave our program with a comprehensive understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of child and adolescent psychiatric disorders in the context of human development, family systems, and their school and community.  As training director, I enjoy watching our trainees and graduates pursue their unique interests as they become the next generation of leaders in our field.

I am excited about your interest in pursuing a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine and welcome applications from all ACGME-accredited program trainees. We are recruiting fellows who are innovative, passionate and who seek out challenges in the pursuit of life-long learning.
