Elena Gillespie, PhD
Adjunct Assistant Research Professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Elena Gillespie obtained her PhD in Human Development in 2014 from Fielding Graduate University. Dr. Gillespie is Assistant Adjunct Research Faculty at IU School of Medicine in the Department of Physical Medicine, Research Coordinator at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana, and Adjunct Faculty at Saybrook University in Oakland, California. She is a co-founder of the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research Center (CAMRC), now known as University of Michigan Integrative Medicine Center in Ann Arbor, MI, having conducted studies in energy modalities in the management of chronic pain. She also has an interest in complementary and alternative modalities in the treatment of TBI. Her recent research has focused on post-traumatic growth in the long-term recovery from TBI, with a spotlight on the role of spirituality in healing.
