Yoga

Erica Eugster leads Riley Tuesday morning yogaYoga is offered every Tuesday from 8:30-9:45 which allows you to get to the 10 AM Division meeting just in time! Class is taught by Erica Eugster, MD, who is a certified yoga teacher. It is a modified Ashtanga Primary Series open to all levels. The same poses are performed in the same order every week, allowing you to deepen, refine and discover the many layers of this scientifically based ancient practice. While being physically vigorous and generating internal heat, yoga also emphasizes breathing and a balance of strength and flexibility that leaves you incredibly energized and profoundly relaxed. The benefits of yoga go far beyond the physical experience, however. You will quickly discover that your entire day is more peaceful and more productive when it begins with yoga! This is a fantastic opportunity for you to engage in stress management and wellness right here at Riley during your fellowship.

Life in Indianapolis

Endocrinology fellowship get togetherRanked nationally for its livability, Indianapolis is a fantastic city to explore and enjoy, and its remarkably low cost of living offers our fellows and their families endless opportunities to do just that. Foodies and craft beer connoisseurs find themselves overwhelmed with thriving restaurant and craft beer scenes. Sports fanatics can experience the largest single-day sporting event in the world at the Indy 500 or take in the atmosphere while cheering on any one of many our professional sports teams, from the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers, to Indy Eleven soccer games, minor league baseball and hockey games. When it comes to music, Indy draws everything from national headliners to local indie acts. The city also offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation, from enjoying any of our many running and biking trails to kayaking at Eagle Creek Park to making the short trip to nearby Brown County to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The options for family fun include visiting the largest children’s museum in the world to enjoying a walk on Indy’s beautiful cultural trail or exploring any one of the city’s beautiful parks.
