Susan J. Sherman, MD received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit Michigan and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Sinai Hospital of Detroit. She went on to fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Southern California-Los Angeles County Women’s Hospital. The facility at that time was responsible for one in every 200 babies born in the United States and most were high risk.
Dr. Sherman has served in a number of roles including solo practice, group practice and administration. She has worked in a diverse array of facilities across the US including military, faith-based, community and academic. She has more than 25 years of experience in maternal-fetal medicine.
Dr. Sherman is a member of professional organizations that include the American Medical Association, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Her areas of interest include prenatal diagnosis and ultrasound.
Dr. Sherman speaks Spanish. Her hobbies include gardening, biking, family time, travel, listening to audio books and learning more about her genealogy.
