Neuromuscular Disorders

Indiana University School of Medicine’s neuromuscular disorder specialists offer comprehensive care for patients with muscular dystrophy, ALS and other neuromuscular disorders.

The school’s Neuromuscular Disorder program provides expert care that includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, speech pathology, psychological services as well as neurological care. Team members consult and collaborate with other neuroscience specialists to create an effective treatment plan that is specifically tailored for each patient.

IU is recognized as an ALS Association Certified Treatment Center of Excellence. As part of the ALS Association’s national network, IU School of Medicine faculty specializing in neuromuscular disorders provide evidence-based, multidisciplinary ALS care and services in a supportive environment that emphasizes quality of life.
