Neurovascular Surgery

Vascular neurosurgeons in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine specialize in blood vessel abnormalities of the brain and spinal cord, such as stroke, brain aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations. Treatment is personalized for each patient by choosing from the most advanced medical, endovascular and surgical treatments, including expertise in Gamma Knife radiosurgery. Neurovascular faculty members have published more than 165 research papers and contribute to extensive international and national studies.

The department offers a one-year vascular fellowship and a two-year endovascular fellowship treating patients suffering from aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and other cerebrovascular diseases.
