Basic Science Research in Nephrology
The Division of Nephrology is a center for cell biology on the IU School of Medicine—Indianapolis campus with particular expertise in the application of cutting-edge techniques in fluorescence microscopy and imaging.
The division operates a core imaging facility that uses state-of-the-art twin photon microscopy for intravital imaging. Investigators employ many other advanced techniques as well, including transgenic animal models and genomics. Faculty maintain active collaborations with other divisions on campus, including oncology, basic science and computer science.
This group provides researchers at IU School of Medicine with hands-on access to the instruments for individual investigators and assistance from on-staff imaging experts on microscopy.
