General Internal Medicine Research
The Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at IU School of Medicine conducts cutting-edge research that encompasses bench science to outcomes research using an interdisciplinary approach to science. This team of investigators values and celebrates the success of individuals for their research accomplishments and nurtures the research careers of junior faculty and trainees while advancing the departmental research enterprise.
Though not all are active investigators, Internal Medicine and Geriatrics faculty are committed to the research mission of IU School of Medicine. Those mainly devoted to patient care and teaching missions facilitate patients’ access to clinical trials to further the pursuit of knowledge and to make the most advanced therapies available to them. The division also contains the editorial office of the Journal of General Internal Medicine.
The division’s researchers are organized into well-recognized and productive centers of excellence.
