IU School of Medicine Geriatrics

IU School of Medicine Geriatrics strives to be a local, national and international leader in improving the health and vitality of older adults through excellence and innovation in research, education and clinical care.

The geriatrics team is transforming health care to support the efforts of health care providers, systems, educators, patients, families and policy makers to promote successful aging and person-centered care for older adults.

As part of its mission, the IU School of Medicine Geriatrics program supports a robust education program for residents and fellows.

IU School of Medicine recognizes the importance of educating learners on how to care for older adults both now and in the future. The U.S. population is aging, making the need for skilled physicians imperative.

Fellows receive training and mentorship in a collegial environment that allows them to treat patients across the continuum of care at local hospitals.
