Bio

I grew up in Jiujiang, China, a small city on the south shore of the Yangtze River, famous for its humid hot summers and spicy foods. I went to Jiangxi Medical College, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. I attended graduate school and residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. My wife and I have been married 9 years and have a 7-year-old son. We moved to Indiana in 2017, where I begin my career as a hospitalist. Our life is quite hectic, with both of us working in the hospital. Our little guy is quite active and social. He is energetic and never feels tired. We plan to visit at least 2-3 national parks every year starting from 2021; we've visited two so far. In my spare time I like to cook, jog, and go hiking. After fellowship, I plan to be a hematologist in an academic healthcare setting, focusing on BMT and cellular therapy. Additionally, I would like to dedicate 30-50% of my time to research.
