Bio

Dr. Lai’s research focuses on looking for genes and gene networks responsible for common diseases such as osteoporosis, intracranial aneurysms, alcoholism, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease by using genome wide array data, whole exome and whole genome data. Dr. Lai’s research area includes study design to maximize power, bioinformatics and database tools for data processing and storage, annotating and predicting the function of genetic variant, and statistical analysis methods.
