Bio

Hal is a graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee with a degree in biology. He received a Ph.D. in microbiology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended medical school at The University of Minnesota, and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota where he served as a chief resident during his final year. Hal is married and has twins that were born in 1996.  He is the Coordinator of Ultrasound Education for the residency, and supervises emergency ultrasound for the program.
