Transfer Admission, Advanced Placement, Transfer Credit and Experiential Learning

The Master of Science in Anesthesia program presents a rigorous and fast-paced curriculum. Therefore, advanced placement, transfer credit and experiential learning are not accepted for program coursework. Additionally, transfer students are not accepted. Students must take every course offered within the IU School of Medicine Master of Science in Anesthesia curriculum.

Technical Requirements

All applicants are expected to meet the IU School of Medicine Technical Requirements in order to participate in the Master of Science in Anesthesia Program and to practice clinically. The IU School of Medicine Anesthesiologist Assistant program requires learners to have access to reliable transportation across training sites. There is the potential for out-of-town clinical rotations during the final three semesters. Applicants and students in need of accommodations for a disability can apply to the IU School of Medicine Disabilities Accommodations Committee and register with the adaptive educational services office at the IUPUI campus.

Background Check

Applicants who are accepted to the program are required to complete a criminal background check and drug screen release form.
