Partnerships with local physicians, clinics and teaching hospitals in Terre Haute and statewide provide medical students in Terre Haute the opportunity to learn patient care through one-on-one, hands-on experiences. Early clinical exposure and hands-on learning experiences is improving health outcomes for rural communities.
Students at IU School of Medicine-Terre Haute benefit from seven hospital affiliation partnerships in the area, including Union Hospital, Terre Haute Regional Hospital, Reid Hospital, Jasper Memorial Hospital, Sullivan County Community Hospital, Greene County General Hospital, and St. Vincent Clay Hospital. Students study with volunteer faculty physicians at these teaching clinical facilities.
