Clinical partnerships with local physicians, clinics and hospitals provide students on the Northwest-Gary campus with hands-on experiences.

Clinical Partners

Partnerships with local physicians, clinics and hospitals provide students at IU School of Medicine-Northwest-Gary opportunities to learn patient care through one-on-one, hands-on experiences. Students at this campus benefit from 11 hospital affiliation partnerships in the area, including the Community Hospitals, The Methodist Hospitals, Franciscan Alliance System, Porter Health Care System and La Porte Hospital. IU School of Medicine’s Gary campus is located just 25 miles from Chicago, providing access to a rich and diverse clinical experience.

Students benefit from training with volunteer faculty physicians at all clinical facilities as well as primary care and behavioral health physicians at five federally qualified community health centers and four mental health agencies.
