Construction update
As you are likely aware, the Daly Center sustained extensive water damage due to cold-weather flooding. Contractors are working around the clock, and the facilities operations team is planning to begin reopening parts of the Daly Center in stages as soon as this week.

The following is an update from the IU School of Medicine facilities operations team:

  • The fitness room paint, floor, and cleaning should be complete by this Wednesday, Feb. 14. Equipment will be replaced soon after. We will notify students when it is available for use. As a reminder, IU School of Medicine students with Daly Center fitness memberships may use the Fairbanks fitness center with their existing school ID cards.
  • The eight seminar rooms are tentatively scheduled to be back in service this Friday, Feb. 16.
  • The goal is to reopen conference room 186 and study room 179 the week of Feb. 19.
  • Replacement of floors in the hallways and other remaining areas should begin at the end of this week.

Thank you for your continued patience as renovations are underway.
