Whether diving into research, preparing for boards, gearing up for clinicals, or enjoying a well-earned break, don't forget balance is key. Take time to unplug, connect with friends, and do what makes you feel alive outside the hospital walls. Let rest and joy be part of your wellness plan this summer—you've earned it. Looking for ways to make the most of your summer in Indiana? Here are some top activities to help you unwind:
  • Indiana Dunes National Park: Explore 15 miles of pristine beaches, hike the iconic dunes, or enjoy a peaceful sunset over Lake Michigan.
  • Indiana State Fair (August 1–17): Experience the state's largest event with live music, carnival rides, and classic fair food.
  • GANGGANG's BLACK: A Festival of Joy (July): Celebrate Black culture with music, art, and community at Riverside Park.
  • Fourth Street Arts and Crafts Festival (Bloomington): The Fourth Street Festival of the Arts is a two-day showcase of 120+ nationally and regionally recognized artists. This free event also features performance art and live music. The 2025 event will occur Labor Day Weekend, August 30 - 31.
  • Indiana Cheese Trail: Embark on a culinary adventure by visiting local creameries and tasting artisanal cheeses across the state.
