Lindsey is excited to join the IUEM faculty after completing her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship here this past summer. “Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful” is her motto. She is currently refocusing on forgotten hobbies during her time off by taking an interior design course. She recommends the book Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg.

Jill, aka “Magneto”, will be another familiar face in the halls as she recently graduated from our EM program this summer. Her motto that she lives by is, “always give it your best.” During her time off you can find her running around chasing her 9-month-old, Chloe. She recommends the book Where the Crawdads Sing and a Mumford and Sons concert to anyone.

Kara is excited to join the IUEM faculty after completing her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship here this past summer. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and biking and can be found on the Monon or at Eagle Creek. She recently got a golden retriever puppy, so that has been keeping her busy lately. Dan looks forward to coming back to IUEM after completing a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship in Texas. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his three dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, finding great sushi and Thai, and rock climbing. Her mantra is “Be open-minded, do good things, take a multivitamin.” She is currently cooking (and eating) her way through All About Cake: A Milk Bar Cookbook.

Anna is happy to return to her Hoosier roots as IUEM faculty. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, swimming, and binging a TV series. Her motto is “Be grateful, even when it's hard. There's always something you can find to complain about, but mostly that's a waste of energy. Focus on what you can control and all of the good things we often take for granted!” She recommends the book The Power of Habit.

Emily’s another graduate of our residency program and looking forward to getting back to IU after spending time at The University of Oklahoma Department of Emergency Medicine. She’s currently listening to “You’re Dead to Me”, a history podcast by the BBC which she likes for it’s more fun and lighthearted approach to history. Her favorite quote is, "Life is pain, highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something" from the Princess Bride.

We’re happy to welcome Sara to our department! She just moved back from Abu Dhabi in July after being away for three years so she’d love to connect with anyone that’s lived or worked in the Middle East.
