News and Events

The Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology at Indiana University School of Medicine offers a range of educational and social programs throughout the year.

Motoneuron Club

The Motoneuron Club is a group of scientists and clinicians dedicated to studying motoneuron biology and disease. This group meets monthly for a dinner seminar where the local scientific and clinical communities, along with outside speakers, are invited to present their research. These sessions provide an excellent opportunity to build collaborations among basic scientists and promote translational research opportunities with clinicians treating motoneuron disorders. Interested people are welcome to join club events, which are held on the second Tuesday of the month in the Stark Neuroscience Research Building (Indianapolis), Lecture Room 101.

This club also spearheads the biennial Midwest Motoneuron Research Conference. The next conference will be October 27th-28th, 2023. The schedule for this upcoming year is currently being set and will be posted after the October research conference.
