Nagy to Advance IUSM-SB Clinical Trials

Cindy Nagy, a registered nurse and certified clinical research professional, has joined the staff of Indiana University School of Medicine-South Bend (IUSM-SB) to expand the clinical trial program of IUSM-SB and the Harper Cancer Research Institute, a partnership between IUSM-SB and the University of Notre Dame.
Nagy comes to IUSM-SB from Cancer Care Partners, where she served as a research nurse. She also previously served as research director at Nephrology Inc. She has had almost 20 years of experience in a broad range of nursing settings including hospitals and clinics.
She will develop clinical research protocols for faculty at IUSM-SB and (HCRI) and assist faculty in acquiring tissue samples for their research.
Nagy has worked with Rudolph M. Navari, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.P., on several trials including one that provide the value of the antipsychotic drug Olanzapine in abating nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy.
