NIH/NIDCD Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

Overview

NIH Postdoctoral research positions are available to research scientists through the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Indiana University Bloomington and the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. The duration of these fellowships is variable but is typically two years. During this time, fellows have ample opportunity to interact with faculty on both campuses. Fellows are encouraged to attend and present recent findings at national research meetings as well as submit their results for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Fellows also have the opportunity to submit grant applications to various local and national organizations to obtain funding for specific research projects.

Funding for these fellowships is provided by a training grant to Indiana University from the National Institutes of Health/National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, T32DC000012, “Training in Speech, Hearing, and Sensory Communication”; David B. Pisoni, PhD, Program Director

NIH Postdoctoral positions are available to study speech perception, production, synthesis, spoken word recognition, auditory psychophysics, hearing science, and experimental audiology. The program welcomes postdoctoral students with backgrounds in clinical areas related to Speech and Hearing Sciences as well as Linguistics, Engineering, Experimental Psychology, and Cognitive Science. Researchers are located in Bloomington or Indianapolis. Interested applicants should send a CV, a personal letter describing specific research interests, and three letters of reference to:
