Otolaryngology Fellowships 

The Department of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at IU School of Medicine offers five fellowships: Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery; Advanced Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery and Neurotology.

These multidisciplinary experiences are designed to prepare trainees for a career in academic medicine. Outside of clinical duties, a strong emphasis will be placed on a fellow’s role as a future educator.

Advanced Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

The fellowship consists of multiple integrated, but distinct settings: a university-based reconstructive practice; an offsite academic cosmetic and suburban practice; a county hospital and an outpatient ambulatory surgery center.

Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery 

This one-year fellowship experience in the department focuses developing skills in assessment, treatment strategies and surgical techniques used in the management of complex rhinologic and neuro-rhinologic conditions.

Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery

Fellows gain exposure to techniques involved in advanced ablative and endocrine procedures, open and endoscopic skull base surgery; head and neck reconstruction; and oncology care of head and neck cancer patients.

Neurotology

This two-year fellowship offers trainees an interdisciplinary approach to patient care ranging from neurotology cases in the operating room to practical experience with patients.
