The Division is a center for cell biology on the Indianapolis campus, with particular expertise in the application of cutting-edge techniques in fluorescence microscopy and imaging, and operates a core light microscope Imaging Facility for the School of Medicine.
Investigators employ many other state-of-the-art techniques, including transgenic animal models and genomics. Faculty in the Division maintain active collaborations with other groups on campus, including the Cancer Center and the basic science departments (in which several faculty also have adjunct appointments) and computer science. The Division has recently-renovated laboratory space on three sites.
