Application Information
Nephrology Fellowship
Requirements
- American citizenship, permanent residency or J1 VISA.
- Completion of a 3-year accredited internal medicine program in the United States.
- Completed ERAS application, including 4 reference letters, with one letter coming from your residency program director.
- Above average USMLE scores and performance record from your residency program.
Applications
- Nephrology fellowship applications are accepted ONLY through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), with the exception of transplant nephrology.
- We will participate in the Medical Specialties Matching Program.
- The deadline for submitting applications is December 15, 2010. Incomplete and/or newly submitted applications will not be reviewed after this time.
- Candidates for interview will be contacted directly by our office. Interviews will be conducted from January-March.

Transplant Nephrology Fellowship Application Form
Requirements
- Completion of 2 year nephrology fellowship.
- Board Eligibility.
- Application and CV.
- Personal statement
- 4 reference letters, including one letter from the fellowship program director
- Copy of medical school diploma and medical school transcripts
- Copy of ECFMG certificate if IMG, documentation of prior GME training in nephrology.
The ABIM also supports the fellowship as a non-standard (N+1) program for foreign medical graduates on J1 exchange visas.
We do not accept transplant nephrology fellowship applications through ERAS.
