Course Rational:
All aspects of a person's health are influenced by the expression of their genes. As our understanding of the human genome has increased, the use of genetic information for diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases has become an important tool in clinical medicine.
Purpose:
After completing this course, students will have an understanding of the basics principles of genetics and its relevance to modern clinical medicine.
Grading:
10% Participation (This is based on attendance and homework)
20% Student presentation
30% Exam I
40% State Wide Final Exam
