Cytotechnology  - July  2011

This year's Liang-Che Tao Outstanding Student Award was presented to Julia Brooke Samolczyk.  The Liang-Che Tao Outstanding Student Award is given to the student who has excelled in all aspects of their Cytotechnology education.  The award is $1,000 and is funded through the generous gift of Dr. Tao a former Medical Director of the Cytotechnology program.
Clinical Laboratory Science Graduates  - June  2011 

On Friday, June 24, Graduates of the IU School of Medicine Clinical Laboratory Science Program and their colleagues from the IU Health-Methodist CLS Program joined for one last evening to celebrate the completion of their training Graduates of the IU School of Medicine program had their degrees conferred on June 30, 2011.  Students from both IU School of Medicine & IU Health are represented in this photo.

Histotechnology - April  2011 

The American Society for Clinical Pathology - National Student Honor Award - Kevin Arvai, Sandra Gianelli, Bryan Szpunar, Katherine White received The American Society for Clinical Pathology - National Student Honor Award which recognizes students in the laboratory profession who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to community service and leadership activities.

Nuclear Medicine Technology - March/April  2011 

2011 Central Chapter Society of Nuclear Medicine Spring Meeting - Lisha Combs & Amy Felty have research papers accepted for presentation. Lisha Combs presented "A Retrospective Comparison of 201 Thallium & 99mTechnetium Mycardial Perfusion Imaging During a 99mTechnetium Shortage".  Amy Felt presented "Cardiology Nurses Exposed in Nuclear Medicine".   Center Chapter of the Society of Nuclear Medicine

2011 IUPUI Research Day Presentations - Five senior Nuclear Medicine Technology students presented their research papers on April 8th during the 2011 IUPUI Research Day held at the Campus Center room 450.

Society of Nuclear Medicine -   Derek Flores-Lefrance has a research paper accepted for presentation at the national Society of Nuclear Medicine this summer 2011 titled, "Prevalence of Radioactive Contamination in Areas of a Hospital Nuclear Medicine Department not used for Radiopharmaceutical Preparation".
