About Us

The Family Violence Institute (FVI) is unique, to the best of our knowledge, in its collaborative approach to eliminating all types of family violence.  Through research, education, clinical improvements, and policy changes, we are working against child abuse, domestic violence, and elder abuse.  There are already many programs and individuals working against child abuse, domestic violence, workplace violence, elder abuse, and as advocates of women's health, FVI allows a place for those groups to come together and focus their efforts toward a common goal.

Did You Know?

On average, one child has died each week from abuse or neglect in Indiana during the past 10 years.
