Alzheimer Disease

At the IU Medical Center, the Alzheimer Disease (AD) and Other Dementias Program is a comprehensive program that evaluates and treats patients with cognitive complaints, AD and other dementias. IU Medical Group specialists in Neurology, Psychiatry, Medical and Molecular Genetics, Pathology and Medicine have joined together to offer an integrated approach to evaluation and treatment. The latest in current technology includes SPECT, PET and MRI imaging, genetic testing and bio-marker determinations.

The Alzheimer Disease Program also offers ongoing clinical research studies on dementia through the Alzheimer Center. Patients with dementia, as well as persons with normal cognition are eligible to participate.
