All residents and fellows will have a Direct Deposit pay advice from IU, even when rotating to affiliated hospitals and off-site electives.  Pay Advices are distributed electronically through the University OneStart system at the following Web address:https://onestart.iu.edu/my2-prd/portal/0. You must use you IUPUI network login and password to access OneStart. You will be paid monthly on the last business day of the month. No advance pay can be made.

In lieu of a paper check, residents and fellows are required to have direct bank deposit.  This is a simple, dependent, convenient, and safe method for depositing your pay.  Forms to start, change, or stop direct bank deposit are available in the Office of Graduate Medical Education or may be printed from the "Frequently Requested Forms" page of this website.  If you wish your stipend to be deposited to your checking account, the form must be accompanied by a voided check or deposit slip.  If you wish your stipend to be deposited to your savings account, a deposit slip is needed.  You can also make changes electronically using the Onestart portal; instructions to do so can be found here.

Federal, State, and County Income Tax, and Social Security Tax will be withheld from your pay advice. In a few instances (fellows), where a portion of the pay is from non-taxable grants, income taxes will not be withheld, and you are advised to file a Declaration of Estimated Tax, State and Federal, to cover the balance.

Stipends are subject to change on July 1 of each fiscal year.
