MedTV Guidelines and Submission Process
MedTV is an internal digital signage system with 11 screens used for sharing events and announcements with students, faculty and staff on the IU School of Medicine Indianapolis campus.
You may submit:
- IU School of Medicine activities and events for faculty, staff or students
- Seminars, conferences, guest speakers and talks
- Information for internal marketing of specific programs of interest to the IUSM community
Before submitting events or announcements to MedTV please read the following guidelines.
Calendar Event Submissions
You no longer need to create a PowerPoint slide to submit your events to MedTV. To submit an event, please fill out the IU School of Medicine calendar event submission form. Because the process is now housed in one.iu.edu, you will first need to log in with your username and passphrase. Submissions must be made two weeks prior to the event date.
After filling out the event submission form, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Once confirmed, the event will be submitted for approval. Please be as specific as possible on your event submission form, and include any registration information or links to your department website if applicable.
Once approved, event announcements will appear in the MedTV calendar feed in the upper right corner of the screen. If you notice any errors in your event announcement or need to update the information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Photo Announcement Submissions
To submit items to the photo announcements that are displayed in the center of the MedTV screen, you must provide a large, high-resolution photo that can be sized to at least 1100 x 830 pixels. Please send the picture along with the event name, location, time and date to email@example.com. Submissions must be made at least two weeks prior to the event date. Announcement space is limited, so we may not be able to accommodate each request.
Around Campus Photo Submissions
If you’d like to submit a photo of a recent campus event to the around campus section on the bottom right side of the screen, please email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Images must be high-resolution and sized to 820 x 310 pixels. Landscape-style images work best for this section.
